David Guretzki, president of the, brought greetings to the Christian Reformed Church’s Synod 2025 and thanked delegates for the CRC’s contributions to the fellowship.
Guretzki gave delegates a summary of the work the CRC in Canada is engaged in as a member affiliate. The EFC has been involved in legal interventions for many years, including 33 at the Supreme Court of Canada. Current issues include medical assistance in dying, human trafficking, and age verification for websites with pornography.
EFC works with issues of faith and public life, including public policy, religious liberty, and sanctity of life.
Research includes polling Canadians on religious attitudes, youth and young adult faith formation, and the influence of social media on young people.
Most recently, EFC is part of a new abuse prevention network seeking to improve integrity in ministry.
The EFC is Canada’s largest national evangelical Christian association and includes 50 denominations and 50 post-secondary schools, including Redeemer University.
